Rector Dalgar attended the 'Universities Planning and Coordination Meeting'

At the meeting, important topics related to inter-university sports activities, financial processes, and international organizations were discussed.

The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by TÜSF President Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, followed by a Q&A session with the participants. Additionally, a 'Strategic Plan Presentation' was made by Prof. Dr. Ayşe Türksoy Işım, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa.

In the afternoon session, Prof. Dr. Taner Bozkuş presented on 'Domestic Activity Planning – Financial Approval and Payments', while Aslı Özdendir presented on 'Information on International Organizations (FISU – EUSA)'.

Presentation on sports management and interactive survey study

One of the notable sessions of the meeting was conducted by our university's Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, who was part of the team that prepared the 'Research Report on Sports-Activity Level and Holistic Well-Being in Youth' at MAKÜ. Prof. Dr. Alparslan presented a survey study aimed at evaluating sports activities in universities under the title 'Interactive Survey Study'. By sharing important data on how surveys can be used more effectively in sports management processes, he provided participants with a practical evaluation process.

Sports-friendly campus project

TÜSF President Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen stated in his remarks that they attach importance to the 'sports-friendly campus' project; “As the university sports federation, we are holding our planning and coordination meeting. In these sessions, we especially exchanged ideas with all our stakeholders, primarily the heads of health culture and sports (SKS) departments, our provincial representatives, our sports faculties, and the directors of physical education and sports colleges, as well as the sports directors and coordinators at foundation universities, to restructure our activity framework for the future. In this context, we hope to make organizations with higher participation and interaction in the coming years, and we made various decisions here with a common mind. Additionally, we evaluated various suggestions to ensure that our activities can be conducted more healthily, grouped, and carried out with broader participation in a festive atmosphere. We also made decisions regarding these. One of the most important agenda items of our meeting was to introduce and promote the sports-friendly campus project, and we informed our relevant stakeholders, especially our SKS department heads, about the studies that will raise awareness in this context. We will update and share this with all stakeholders. But beyond that, we will also have the opportunity to restructure our upcoming activities as a result of this meeting starting from the next season.”  he stated.

This important gathering organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation was attended by our university's Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay, and Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ulaş.
